A note from our founders
We didnโt set out to build an app. We set out to make sure no one over 50 spends a day feeling unseen.
When the world went quiet in 2020, we started singing, laughing and talking every day with a handful of people over 55. They kept showing up. Then they brought friends, hosted sessions of their own and stepped on stage.
Today The Smiling Souls belongs to them as much as to us. Our job is simple: keep giving every member something to look forward to.
Our journey
From a lockdown idea to a community that keeps growing.
2020
It began with a smile
When Covid closed doors, we opened a screen. Daily sessions kept people over 55 laughing, singing and connected, across India and beyond.
2021โ23
The community found its voice
Members began hosting, performing and mentoring. Talent contests, theatre and festive celebrations turned a social initiative into a family.
2024
Open to all adults 50+, and our own app
We opened our doors to everyone over 50, not just over 55. The Smiling Souls app and web platform made it easier to join every day, with a real person to help whenever itโs needed.
2025
Beyond engagement
Seniors Health Plus and trusted partners brought health, wellness and member privileges into one membership.
2026
Where people live and work
Programmes for senior living communities and for employers who care about their employeesโ parents. Aamantran RangManch takes members on stage, city by city.
